Job Summary
Haptrans is a subsidiary of Bondex Supply Chain Management Corp., an international freight forwarding and logistics company providing ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and cross-border logistics services with more than 2,500 employees worldwide.
We are currently hiring a Customs Entry Specialist to join our Canadian team in Vancouver and support our growing customs operations.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily Canadian import customs entries and clearance activities.
Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation and entry information.
Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other supporting documents for accuracy.
Assist with tariff classification, customs valuation, duties, and taxes.
Communicate with CBSA, carriers, clients, customs brokers, and other service providers regarding shipment clearance.
Monitor customs releases, examinations, holds, and documentation requirements.
Identify and resolve customs entry issues and discrepancies.
Follow up on shipments to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
Maintain accurate customs records and documentation.
Coordinate with internal operations teams and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment processing.
Provide timely updates to customers regarding customs clearance status.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Canadian customs, customs brokerage, import operations, or freight forwarding.
Solid understanding of Canadian customs clearance procedures and import documentation.
Experience preparing customs entries and working with tariff classification is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency is required.
Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding/customs systems is an asset.
CCS or other Canadian customs-related certification is an asset but not required.
A Customs Broker Licence is preferred but not required for this position.
Pay: $5,000.00-$7,500.00 per month
