The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Active registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
A professional attitude and neat appearance
Experience with senior care is an asset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Sound judgment under pressure and in emergency situations
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver care aligned with NSCN scope of practice and facility procedures
Adapt quickly to new environments and facility-specific protocols
Accurately document all resident care activities, including charting in PointClickCare
Administer medications safely and according to care plans
Maintain confidentiality of all resident, employee, and organizational information
Build positive rapport with residents, families, coworkers, and management
Respond promptly to emergency situations and incidents
Supervise and support facility staff as needed during shift coverage
Provide explicit shift reports and updates
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
Transportation and accommodation support may be provided when applicable
Call on need basis – On call roles
Shifts may include: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, Days, nights, weekdays, and weekends
