We are seeking a skilled Lumber Cutting / Ripping Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves accurate wood processing, utilizing various tools and machinery to produce high-quality lumber products. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
Operate saws and CNC machines to accurately cut and rip lumber according to specifications
Use hand tools and power tools to shape and finish wood components
Measure and mark lumber using calipers, tape measures, and other precision instruments
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as forklifts, machining tools, and other manufacturing machinery
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Assist with loading and unloading materials within the warehouse or production area
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Skills
Experience with woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing processes
Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and CNC machinery
Knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse safety procedures
Ability to read technical drawings and AutoCAD plans is a plus
Familiarity with machining techniques and the use of calipers for precise measurements
Construction experience or background in woodworking is highly desirable
Robust attention to detail, safety-mindedness, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
