Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are currently looking to fill a Shipper and Receiver role, who would be responsible for receiving and loading deliveries, verifying shipments, preparing outbound documentation, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. This role will also be monitoring consumables, updating records in real time, participating in regular inventory counts, and maintaining proper storage and preservation practices.
Overtime may be required dependant on production requirements
Wage: Starting at $26.00 per hour
Role Responsibilities:
Unload all deliveries upon arrival with forklift or other established method.
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately verified against shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
Inspect and count materials received; report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping.
Load trucks for shipment with forklift or other established method.
Label and document outgoing shipments accurately.
Prepare bills of lading for all shipments of manufactured beams.
Maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper documentation, protected and effective handling of stock, and by maintaining a well-kept yard.
Role Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Business or technical Diploma/Degree considered an asset
Valid Forklift (counterbalance) certification and previous related work experience
Can work in outdoor conditions all year round as required, and able to lift 50lbs consistently
Valid driver's license
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data entry systems
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices is a plus
