We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial bookkeeping and accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping for the organization.
One day in office a week, which ever day works for you to enter in and post all invoices, receipts, visas and to do reconciliations. Payroll can be remote. Very flexible if you need to come in more days and split your time.
Duties:
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software SAGE
Perform account reconciliation for accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process payroll and ensure timely payments to employees through Ceridian
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
Handle clerical tasks related to bookkeeping
procure year end to send off to our accountants
HST reporting
WSIB reporting
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Ability to perform account reconciliation and clerical tasks efficiently
Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Knowledge of payroll procedures and financial reporting
WSIB reporting
Experience in construction companies
Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience with budgeting processes
Previous work as an accounting clerk
Familiarity with various accounting software programs
