We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Boat Shop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling boats and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
We are willing to train an individual that has little or no experience, individual must be willing and eager to learn.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of boats, including electrical, electronics, engine fuel/exhaust, fiberglass hull & other elements of the vessels.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out repairs, installations, and adjustments
Troubleshoot mechanical issues by diagnosing problems accurately and implementing effective solutions
Assemble boat components, accessories, and custom modifications according to specifications
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and repair procedures for quality assurance
Collaborate with team members to improve shop workflows and ensure timely completion of projects
Opportunities to perform road service work once comfortable with work
Qualifications
Solid mechanical knowledge with experience working on boats or similar machinery (or willingness to learn)
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc is an asset.
Experience operating power tools safely in a workshop environment
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics related to marine systems
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers when needed
Prior experience in a boat repair shop or marine service environment is preferred but not required

Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
