Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
Create a secure and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
Provide individualized attention and support to each child
Collaborate with parents and families to ensure the best possible care and education for children
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
Follow all licensing regulations and guidelines
Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Certification level 2 or 3.
Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
Robust organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities and materials
Proficiency in computer skills to utilize educational software and track student progress
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, theories, and practices
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
Leadership abilities to guide and supervise assistant teachers or aides
Experience working with children with special education needs is a plus
Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is an asset
