Eyemaxx Optical Studio is an independent, locally-owned and operated eyewear boutique located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. We strive to be a leader and preferred provider of quality optical care products and services. We offer a coveted location with consistent walk-in traffic, fully booked optometrist schedules, and an amazing customer service team.
We are currently looking for a Licensed Optician who is dedicated to customer service, has excellent communication skills, and is technically competent. Lab experience is a bonus but not required.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
Excellent customer service
Assist clients in selecting frames and lenses appropriate for their prescription and lifestyle
Handles tasks, such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly, is thorough and exact in details
Ensures finished eyewear meets optical standards
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues
May provide optical lab support
Be a team player
Maintains cleanliness of store and displays
Education/Qualification requirements:
Hold a valid Optician's License in the province of Ontario
Certified Contact Lens Fitter (CCLF) or be willing to apply
Availability:
Must be adaptable and able to work days, evenings and weekends
Compensation:
Salary is based on education, qualification and experience
