Location: Napanee, ON
Pay Rate: $20.50/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (6‑hour shift, with optional extra hours)
Employment Period: Until approximately November (dependent on waste volumes)
About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable Driver/Labourer to support daily sample deliveries from our Napanee facility to our Ottawa location. This role is primarily driving (5–6 hours round‑trip), with some additional facility support tasks in Napanee as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys independent work, secure driving, and light labour duties in an environmental services setting.
Key Responsibilities
Drive company vehicle daily from Napanee to Ottawa to deliver environmental samples.
Load samples at the Napanee facility and unload them at the Ottawa sample receiving area.
Handle sample containers safely, including:
Glass jars packed in coolers or cardboard trays
Water, oily water, fuel‑impacted water
Solids contaminated with oils or other materials
Occasional acids, caustics, or similar materials (full training provided)
Maintain accurate documentation as required.
Assist with additional tasks at the Napanee facility when available, such as:
Cleaning vehicles
General labour duties
Supporting facility operations (training provided)
Schedule & Hours
Fixed shift: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (6 hours)
Additional hours available for facility support tasks
Monday to Friday
Majority of the shift is spent driving
Requirements
Valid Ontario G Class licence
Clean driver’s abstract
Ability to lift and handle coolers and sample trays
Robust attention to safety and procedures
Comfortable working independently and in varying weather conditions
Training provided for all sample handling and facility tasks
Pay: $20.50 per hour
