BTO Contracting is recruiting for the role of an Excavator Operator for a project in Silverberry, BC /Fort St John BC Landfill Job.

Positions Needed: Hoe Operator

This position will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

Duties Include:
Operate Heavy Equipment as it applies to ditching, sloping, grading, stripping, clean-up, rock ripping etc. along with the ability to read grade stakes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
Operate and maintain equipment in a protected and effective manner.
Carry out minor maintenance and inspection for equipment and reporting any deficiencies.
Ability to work as a team and take direction.
Follow directions from Foreman/Supervisor
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Possess 2+ year’s experience




Capable of physical Labour
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Punctuality and reliability are critical for this role
Must pass a competency assessment on specified equipment
Must provide CSA approved steeled toed safety boots above ankle height
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Must have Valid H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Certifications
