We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide a secure, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to our patients in a busy family practice clinic. This person will work collaboratively with physicians and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
Duties
Assess patients, obtain medical histories, and document findings accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
Assist physicians during minor procedures.
Perform wound assessments and dressing changes.
Administer medications and immunizations as authorized.
Perform injections (IM, SC, and ID) within scope of practice.
Conduct Ear irrigations, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, urine dipstick).
Monitor patients for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the physician.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
Process physician orders and follow-up requests.
Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and patient follow-up appointments.
Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and vaccines.
Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the appropriate licensing body.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and relevant clinical practices.
Proficiency with electronic health records such as PS Suite.
Robust patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced settings.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
