We are looking for a hardworking Junior Estimator! As a Junior Estimator, your main responsibility will be to estimate work of particular projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents under the guidance of the Senior Estimator.

Responsibilities:
Prepare estimates of probable costs to materials, labour and equipment, subcontractors for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
Examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations.
Establish and maintain tendering processes.
Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
Prepare cost and spending statements and forecasts for the duration of a project.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
Consult and communicate with PM, engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare cost estimates and change orders where appropriate
Budget development and submission
Review, evaluate ,



and coordinate all relevant documents
Consider all risks, such as procurement, contracts, scope, methodology, cost, quality and schedule.
Prepare and interpret tender documents, specifications, general conditions, other parts of the contract and negotiate contracts.
Proficient with most software including AutoCad is an asset

Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year experience as an Estimator in a construction setting and has been on most projects from start to finish.
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is an asset but not mandatory.

Experience:
Construction Estimating: 1 year
Open to recent graduates
Willing to train the right individual
