Millstream Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant for a schedule including Saturdays. We are a 4 doctor practice in the growing Langford area, with a team of like minded individuals dedicated to providing a high standard of care and having a outstanding work environment, and balance for staff quality of life. Duties include:
Assisting technicians with restraint and handling of animals up to 75kg
General cleaning, laundry etc
Wrapping and preparing sterile surgical packs
Assisting with monitoring anesthesia
Basic phone answering skills including booking appointments
Client transactions
Providing care for hospitalized patients
Assisting with processing laboratory samples

Previous experience is an asset, but not mandatory. A robust desire to work in animal care and an ability to work well in a team workplace is essential.
