Martins Electric is a locally owned electrical company specializing in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential projects throughout Western Canada. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, safety and teamwork. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist an experienced electrician in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repair. This position is an excellent prospect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of a skilled skilled.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical installations, maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial projects
Familiarity with fire alarm data and control system installations
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
Lead apprentices and ensure safe, efficient work practices
Maintain a clean and organized work setting, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
Maintain high safety and quality standards in all work
Qualifications
Valid Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification
Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel
Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
Experience in commercial or industrial construction preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians
Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.
Reliable, safety-focused and professional
Pay $45.00 per hour, + possibility of overtime, + comprehensive benefit package.
