Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and effective Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a passion for the food industry, robust time management skills, and the ability to work in a rapid-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cashiering and cash handling
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing customer needs promptly
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with food safety guidelines
Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions




Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders efficiently through effective time management skills
Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and beverages

Requirements
Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Robust customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills
Experience with food handling, preparation, and safety standards is desirable
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
