At Chubby's, the line cooks are the pillars of our kitchen. We look to our line cooks to take on a position of seniority and leadership amongst their co-workers, leading by example and being an ambassador of Chubby's. A line cook must possess a strong knowledge of our menu and recipes. This is a stepping stone role before moving into the position of Jr. Sous Chef.
The Scope of the Role and Responsibilities are as follows:
Promotes Guest Satisfaction by ensuring all food is executed to standard
Maintaining a spotlessly clean kitchen and back of house
Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures
Operate from Yes, and execute tasks as delegated by Kitchen Managers
Contributing to an atmosphere of hard work, discipline, respectful communication, cooperation and positivity amongst all staff
Skills / Experience
Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline in work habits and work quality
Strong knife skills
Good knowledge of cooking techniques and food equipment operation
Ability to work as a team and independently
Time management and ability to multitask
Thorough understanding of safe food handling
Minimum of three years prior experience in a line cook role
Positive attitude and respectful demeanor
