Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Houseman to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role is essential in ensuring our guests experience a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Prior experience in hotel or custodial services is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are equally important. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality setting with a focus on cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Duties
Assist with cleaning and maintaining corridors, lobbies, and public areas to hotel standards
Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens in guest rooms and public spaces
Support housekeeping staff with special cleaning projects or heavy-duty industrial cleaning as needed
Ensure all areas are protected, clean, and well-organized for both guests and staff
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Assist with guest requests
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff
Skills
Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality environments is preferred
Knowledge of hotel cleaning procedures and standards is a plus
Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks when required
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift light loads
Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned duties within scheduled shifts
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
