Manager, Logistics Strategy & Planning

Location: Remote – United States or Canada

Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time

About the Chance

Brunel is partnering with a global organization in the wind energy sector to recruit a Manager, Logistics Strategy & Planning.

This position will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and management of logistics operations supporting wind energy projects across North America, with a strong focus on the Canadian market.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in wind energy, international and project logistics, transportation of heavy or oversized components, and the commercial management of logistics suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage logistics strategies and programs supporting wind energy projects

• Plan international and domestic transportation of wind turbine components

• Identify optimal ports of entry, transportation routes, equipment utilization, and delivery strategies across North America, particularly Canada

• Develop strategies to improve transportation efficiency, logistics performance, and overall project costs

• Lead RFP and RFQ processes for logistics and transportation services

• Evaluate, qualify, select, onboard, and manage logistics vendors and suppliers

• Negotiate logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, and related service contracts

• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, consultants, and logistics partners





• Develop and maintain a qualified vendor pool to support project execution

• Establish supplier performance targets across quality, cost, and delivery

• Manage supplier performance and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle

• Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams to develop and execute project logistics strategies

• Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives

• Support the implementation and management of logistics systems and operational tools

• Promote and maintain strong QHSE standards across employees, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Support continuous improvement of ISO management systems and processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

• Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics planning

• Strong experience with domestic and international logistics and compliance

• Experience within the wind energy / renewable energy industry

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the Canadian logistics market

• Experience with heavy haul, oversized cargo, or complex project logistics strongly preferred

• Proven experience leading RFP/RFQ processes,



vendor selection, and supplier management

• Strong experience preparing, reviewing, and negotiating logistics and transportation contracts

• Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget development and management

• Ability to operate effectively within global, cross-functional, and matrix organizations

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability and willingness to travel to remote and international project locations as required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• SAP and/or Oracle experience is a plus

• French and/or Mandarin language skills are a plus
