Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician or Apprentice to join our agile family owned team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently. Prior experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to factory standards
Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement and frame straightening
Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively
Conduct mechanical repairs as needed, including minor engine or component fixes
Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines and quality standards
Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations during repair processes
Qualifications
Proven experience or extensive automotive repair background preferred
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and body repair equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Prior mechanic experience is a plus but not mandatory
Valid driver’s license may be required for certain tasks or job functions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.18-$39.36 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
