Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? The Prince George Hotel is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain our hotel to the highest standards.
In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, from preventative upkeep to repairs, ensuring our facilities remain secure, efficient, and guest-ready at all times.
What You'll Do:
Perform general maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
Maintain interior and exterior areas to a high standard of appearance
Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to avoid breakdowns
Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests from all departments
Complete renovations and in-house repair projects as needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized manner
Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential risks
Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with guests and team members
Continuously build skills and knowledge through training opportunities
What You Bring:
Previous maintenance or building maintenance experience required
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems and carpentry
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safety and maintaining high standards
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and on-call if required
