The position will collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and coordinate services and support in consultation with individuals and partnering programs.Qualifications- Relevant college or university accreditation and/or relevant work experience in the area of training, development, and employment services.- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of employment and training initiatives.- Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ISETS) and current trends in local labour market.- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and experience working with Indigenous persons; understanding of the northern cultural environment; knowledge of an Indigenous language(s)
will be considered an asset.- Ability to develop intervention contracts, business plans (annual funding submission) and related documents.- Excellent finance skills and attention to detail; accounting experience considered an asset.- Ability to engage people to build trust and rapport; effective verbal and listening communication skills.- Ability to plan, coordinate and implement learning pathways and interventions.- Excellent public relations skills and thorough knowledge of community resources.- Group facilitation, team building and decision-making skills; ability to problem solve and take initiative.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Excellent case and file management skills, stress management and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.- Effective crisis intervention skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including database applications.- Self‑motivated individual with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team‑oriented setting.- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and/or weekends.- A clear criminal reference check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Clearance is a condition of employment.- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license and reliable transportation.Equal Opportunity Employment StatementTBIFC is an equal chance employer.
