Business Project Manager - Lending Transformation

What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale Commercial Lending transformation initiatives from initiation through implementation.
- Partner with business, technology, change management, process, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
- Establish project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, resources, timelines, and measurable business benefits.
- Develop and maintain key project artifacts, including project charters, integrated delivery plans, resource plans, contingency plans, status reports, and governance materials.
- Manage project scope, timelines, costs, risks, dependencies, and quality to ensure commitments are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business, corporate, and IT functions, including senior executives and leadership teams.
- Lead regular Steering Committees, Operating Committees, Decision Forums, and core team meetings, providing clear updates and driving timely decisions.
- Translate business strategy and vision into clearly defined project objectives and executable delivery plans.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, providing recommendations and escalation points to senior leadership.
- Coordinate multiple project workstreams and matrix partners to ensure integrated execution.
- Oversee project activities across areas such as change management, process transformation, technology delivery, quality management, and transition to business operations.
- Monitor overall project health and provide concise, executive-level reporting on progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Ensure projects adhere to applicable project management, risk, audit, compliance, and enterprise governance standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, methodologies, and delivery standards across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Experience
- Proven experience managing complex, large-scale projects or transformation initiatives in fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Lending and/or Banking Operations.
- Demonstrated experience working within highly matrixed organizations and coordinating multiple business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship management, consulting, and influencing skills.
- Experience leading change and transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, planning, and delivery practices.
- Experience managing project scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, resources,
and business outcomes.
- Solid business and technical acumen, with the ability to bridge business objectives and technology delivery.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, particularly when communicating with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on delivery and business outcomes.
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in environments with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach with a demonstrated ability to drive decisions and deliver results.
