Empower First Nations children and families as the Director of Engagement at Shawenim Abinoojii. This full time leadership position is focused on strategic community service and inter-agency collaboration.
You will be instrumental in implementing effective programs that engage and support youth in the Southeast region. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will bring your expertise in social services, supervisory experience, and knowledge of Indigenous issues to nurture a supportive setting for program participants. Your role includes developing impactful strategies, data-driven reporting, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the Memengwaa Youth Transitional Housing Program
• Work with the Running White Wolves Youth Council
• Lead program planning with Supervisors
• Co-organize outreach to engage community
• Adapt policies to ensure culturally relevant delivery
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or relevant experience
• At least three years in a leadership role
• Robust understanding of CFS sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver’s license and background checks
