Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre Society seeks a Lead Early Childhood Educator to enhance culturally responsive programming at the Friendship Centre Cub House in Houston, British Columbia. This full-time role emphasizes mentorship, community engagement, and adherence to Indigenous values.
As a senior educator, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Centre Manager. Your leadership will guide a vibrant early learning workplace that prioritizes Indigenous culture, emotional and social development, and family involvement. This position requires a commitment to developing engaging learning experiences and a team-oriented spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and evaluate culturally responsive early learning programs
• Support educators in implementing developmentally appropriate activities
• Build respectful relationships with families and children
• Mentor ECEs and provide staff guidance
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations
Requirements:
• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate
• At least three years of childcare experience
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills
• First Aid Certification
• Explicit Criminal Record Check
