Position Overview
Highroad Academy is seeking a dedicated and agile Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our faculty. This full-time position includes responsibilities in teaching physical education while also taking on additional duties as the Athletic Director or instructing other courses based on qualifications and school needs. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop lifelong fitness habits, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to a positive school culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Physical Education Instruction:

Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being.

Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.

Ensure all activities align with provincial physical education standards.

Athletic Program Oversight (if serving as Athletic Director):

Manage and oversee all aspects of the school's athletic programs, including scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with league regulations.

Support and mentor coaches while fostering a positive sports environment for student-athletes.

Promote student participation in athletics and encourage a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.





Additional Course Instruction (if applicable):

Teach additional courses based on expertise and school needs.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s academic goals.

Student Development:

Encourage students to develop a healthy lifestyle and positive attitudes toward fitness and sports.

Support student-athletes in balancing academics and extracurricular commitments.

Safety & Equipment Management:

Maintain a safe and inclusive environment in all physical activities.

Oversee the maintenance and inventory of sports and PE equipment.

Collaboration with Faculty & Staff:

Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning and engagement.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Parent & Community Engagement:

Communicate effectively with parents about student progress, athletic programs, and upcoming events.

Foster strong relationships with local organizations and sports leagues.

Extracurricular Involvement:

Coach or support extracurricular sports teams and school fitness programs.

Organize and facilitate school-wide fitness events, tournaments, and activities.

Character & Leadership Development:

Serve as a role model, promoting discipline, responsibility, and perseverance.

Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among students.

Commitment to School Mission & Values:

Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of Highroad Academy.
