An exciting chance has opened up with an international Chemicals Company. In support of their expansion plans, they are recruiting a Business Development Metallurgist Mining Chemicals .This is an excellent opportunity with an international group.
Location: Ontario/Canada but adaptable. The company is open to consider candidates based elsewhere in Canada and who would be interested to work from home, visit the Ontario region (and our clients Ontario offices) on a regular basis and travel in other Canadian mining regions from time to time
This key role reports to the Country Manager and is responsible for developing business and identifying opportunities in new territories, through market development and technical knowledge application. In addition, the role will focus on the development of new business, new markets, technological advancement of current business, new services AND the planning and pursuit of strategic opportunities in Mining Chemicals.
The ability to cultivate partnerships, including commercial relationships, will be crucial for the success of this position.
Important Requirements
Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering Diploma / Degree
10+ years experience within the mining chemicals / mining / chemical technology or related industries
Key business development experience
5+ years general management and project management experience
Detailed understanding of extractive metallurgy process
Ability to conduct lab tests and plant trials on the above processes
Good knowledge of the market and professional relationships
Excellent communication interpersonal skills
Problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify opportunities
Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work in teams and independently
