Job DescriptionReporting to the Leader, National Casualty and Bodily Injury Claims, you have a track record of progressively challenging claims handling. You will be accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Senior Third Party Bodily Injury and Casualty claims. This includes Automobile, Homeowners, and Commercial third party claims. You are motivated by a challenge and strive to continually develop yourself and others. You actively support change and seek to improve. You have effectively managed a portfolio of Casualty and Bodily Injury claims of increasing complexity. You continually support the Team environment and raise your hand to assist others including mentoring junior team members. You have a desire to be part of a diverse, highly engaged and high-performance team.What Can You ExpectReporting to the Team Leader, Casualty, you are accountable for managing a portfolio of Senior Bodily Injury, Casualty, and General Liability Claims.Engage all stakeholders in the effective management of a claim including underwriting and senior leadershipConfirming policy coverages, investigating claims to determine liability and quantum. Maintaining detailed file records.Attending/participating in mediations, pre-trials and settlement initiatives.Settle claims directly with claimants and with Plaintiff's Counsel.Direct and Instruct Defence Counsel.Mentoring of junior team membersProfessional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customer, co-workers or vendorsPerform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressureStrive to continually push the boundaries of your adjusting experience and personal learningsTeam player adaptable to changing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independentlyWhat Do You BringUniversity degree,
