We are recruiting for a Safety Advisor III to support a major capital project at the Nanticoke Refinery. This role is ideal for a hands‑on safety qualified who enjoys being in the field, interacting with contractors, coaching workers, and driving a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
Provide field-based safety support throughout construction and commissioning activities.
Build strong working relationships with contractors, supervisors, and project teams.
Conduct site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
Coach and mentor personnel on protected work practices and company safety requirements.
Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
Review and maintain compliance with company, regulatory, and industry safety standards.
Participate in the development and delivery of safety training, presentations, and awareness initiatives.
Assist with the development and improvement of safety procedures and programs.
Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across the project team.

Qualifications
Experience in construction safety, industrial safety, or related health and safety roles.




Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and regulations.
Experience working with contractors in field environments.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast‑paced project setting.

Preferred Experience
Approximately 10 years of health and safety experience (flexibility available for robust candidates).
Heavy industrial, refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, or large construction project experience.
Experience supporting projects during construction and commissioning phases.
Post‑secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
Majority of time spent in the field.
Regular interaction with contractors and project personnel.
Active industrial construction setting.
Local candidates are preferred.
