Summary
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Shop Labourer is responsible for performing general duties in the shop and yard. The individual will take direction well and be able to perform physically demanding work.
Job Duties
General labour work at our shop location in Saskatoon
Load and unload materials
Prefabrication of wall and flooring systems
Operate and maintain tools and equipment
Work with team in the shop to complete projects within established timeframes
Ensure shop safety is maintained and safety documentation is completed
Comply with company policies, procedures,
and safety requirements
Maintain open and explicit communication with your supervisor to establish goals, timelines, and expectations
Help maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard areas
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Requirements
Minimum one (1) year experience in construction or carpentry work
Valid driver's license and vehicle to get to work
Skills & Abilities
Effective verbal and listening communications skills
Time management and positive organizational skills
Ability to work with others in a team workplace
Ability to problem solve and deal with complex detailed projects
