Duties & Responsibilities
Assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and counselling services.
Individual, group and family counselling.
Provide referrals and advocate on behalf of clients.
Develop and implement training programs/workshops for clients and staff if required.
Prepare and maintain confidential records, reports and files.
Guide clients with skills and strategies to build self-esteem and confidence.
Improve the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing of communities and members, while strengthening the traditional health care system.
Aim to improve the health of First Nations by incorporating First Nations healing and wellness.
Knowledge of traditional human development and family dynamics.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity of the Cree culture.
