About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice-President for External Relations to develop and lead strategies that enhance the institution's reputation and deepen its relationships with the public, government, and key partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering understanding and engagement through government and community relations, storytelling, advocacy, and signature events.
This role also involves serving as a senior ambassador, building and sustaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government, donors, alumni, and students.
The Vice-President will work in close collaboration with academic faculties and administrative units to advance the company's fundraising and development priorities.
Key responsibilities for the Vice-President - External Relations include leading a large team and overseeing areas such as marketing, strategic communications, advancement, and alumni relations. The role requires a trusted advisor who can expertly manage issues and crises that may pose a reputational risk to the institution.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the needs of the government and be able to influence and respond effectively. They should be adept at creating and maintaining successful programs to engage with the company's local, national, and international alumni population.
The position demands a leader who can ensure that the company's image, influence, and impact are aligned with its mission, values, and long-term goals.
