Responsibilities Serve as the central owner of the organization’s payroll function, ensuring end-to-end accuracy and timeliness.
Import timekeeping data and apply necessary corrections for salaried staff during the transition to a new leave-management platform.
Conduct detailed pre-payroll reviews to confirm calculations meet legislative and policy requirements before final processing.
Compile quarterly incentive calculations using spreadsheet models.
Coordinate payroll validation with internal audit partners and submit finalized payroll for processing.
Produce employment records, statutory slips, and year-end filings in accordance with federal and regional requirements.
Maintain accurate employee and payroll data across all payroll and HR systems.
Manage payroll elements connected to benefit plans, retirement savings programs, and pension contributions.
Track, calculate, and reconcile payroll liabilities such as earned vacation, incentive accruals, overtime, and leave entitlements.
Assist with workplace insurance and compensation program reporting and compliance submissions.
Prepare payroll-related accounting entries and support reconciliation activities during close cycles.
Perform routine payroll audits to ensure robust controls and readiness for internal and external reviews.
Work closely with Finance and Human Resources to ensure consistency across payroll, accounting, and people systems.
Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll questions, delivering clear and responsive support.
Promote confidence in payroll accuracy through transparent processes and dependable service.
Collaborate with HR and IT teams to improve payroll systems, workflows, and data integrity.
Identify efficiencies through automation, standardization, and process redesign.
Contribute to payroll-related initiatives including system implementations, upgrades, and policy enhancements.
