Responsibilities

Manage, maintain and secure the store location and property, implementing programs and policies.

Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, image standards, safety, and asset protection within the Hardware and Lumber Departments.

Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals related to pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory.

Provide leadership to the team through recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.

Build solid customer relationships, deliver solutions, and monitor client satisfaction levels.

Lead the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies.

Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers and contractors.

Qualifications





Understanding of lumber products and processes.

Experience in sales, quote estimation, retail, hardware, or material industry.

6–9 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

Knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management.

Honest, trustworthy, and able to motivate and lead team members.

Must be legally authorised to work in Canada.

Belief in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions, recognising the value different perspectives bring to shared objectives.
