Junior Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator
Preferred Energy Inc. is seeking an organized, motivated, and technically minded Project Manager / Drafting Coordinator to join our growing team.
Location: ESTEVAN
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our expanding fabrication division while learning and operating advanced robotic scanning and beamline technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects from concept through fabrication while supporting our production and construction teams.
Responsibilities
Coordinate multiple fabrication and construction projects
Learn and operate advanced 3D scanning and HGG beamline software
Prepare cut lists, material take-offs, and fabrication documentation
Review drawings and ensure fabrication accuracy
Coordinate with customers, engineers, and field personnel
Track project schedules and production milestones
Assist with estimating and procurement
Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions
Support production planning and workflow improvements
Assist with quality control throughout fabrication
Qualifications
A diploma in engineering design technology is an asset
Experience with drafting, detailing, or project management
Ability to read structural steel and fabrication drawings
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Experience in structural steel, oil & gas, industrial construction, or manufacturing is considered an asset
