Duties

Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for Woodland Cree Ent. Inc. and its programs

Implement the organizations strategic plan and Board-approved priorities.

Oversee program delivery, staffing, budgeting and financial management.

Ensure compliance with funding agreements, reporting requirements and organizational policies.

Monitor organizational performance, key performance indicators, and program outcomes.

Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, stakeholders and community organizations.

Represent Woodland Cree Ent. Inc. at meetings, events, and public engagements.

Support and report regularly to the Board of Directors.

Identify funding, partnership, and growth opportunities that support Woodland Cree Ent. Inc. programs.

Ensure that updated balances are kept for each First Nations allocation including projected commitments.

Maintain current knowledge of the northern labour market

Travel as required





Perform other duties as requested by the Board of Directors

Qualifications

Business Administration Diploma/Accounting/Finance plus 5 years experience working in the Training and Employment field/2 years experience in management position.

Demonstrated ability in financial, accounting/fund accounting

Solid working knowledge of the northern labour market

Strong working knowledge of first nations training programs and institutes.

Supervisory experience

Ability to prepare and maintain budgets

Ability to work independently

Working knowledge of accounting software (1 to 2 years) Excel, Word and Outlook

Punctual and Reliable

Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Able to maintain confidentiality

Ability to interpret and implement company policy and procedures

Ability to speak Cree is an asset but not required

Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
