This role requires flexibility in schedule for various promotional activities that may take place in the evening or on weekends.Status :Replacement, less than 6 monthsEffective Date :March 2026End date : June 30 2026 at the latestAnnual salary :$54 862 - $91 023Supervisor :Director of CommunicationsNature of the workThe job of Communications Consultant involves participating in the development and implementation of communications policies, strategies and plans to support the school board's Commitment to Success Plan, with the aim of better informing school clientele, employees, parents and the general public, using a variety of information media.Description of tasksThemandateof this role is to promote the various educational pathways and services of the Eastern Townships School Board, more specifically of the vocational and general adult education centers (CBM - LVTC - ETAGE) offered to individuals, businesses and the community by ETSB resources.Specific roles and tasks:Develop and write content for the organization's platforms (websites, applications and intranet).Propose digital strategies for various digital and traditional campaigns, and manage the social media content calendar.In collaboration with external suppliers, produce communication tools (brochures, leaflets, guides, informative and promotional documents,



etc.).Advise and work closely with center managers and other departments.Advise and support center directors in their promotional and communications needs (advertising, logo, website, social media, events, etc.).Monitor technology and keep abreast of Web and digital best practices.Collaborate in the organization of special events and occasionally travel to planned locations (exhibitions, job fairs, etc.).Actively participate in the deployment of marketing strategies and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Work closely with the Youth Sector communications consultant to deliver a cohesive and complete ETSB communication strategyDesired profileSchoolingBachelor's degree in a relevant field of specialization, including communications, journalism, or equivalent.Knowledge and skillsRelevant experienceExcellent mastery of written and spoken English and FrenchDemonstrate solid team spirit and ability to maintain positive working relationshipsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and within deadlinesDemonstrate strong analytical, synthesizing and rigorous skillsGood time management, adaptability, autonomy, and the ability to take well-calculated initiativesDiscretion and diplomacyStrong customer serviceIn-depth knowledge of digital communication methods and techniques, and proficiency in evaluation and referencing tools (Google Analytics and ADS, SEO)Knowledge of the Office suite and content management systems (Wordpress, SharePoint)Knowledge of photo and video software (an asset)Experience in photo and video (asset)Own a vehicle* Qualifications may be verified by means of tests.
