Application Information
The Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds (SAW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing Saskatchewan's water resources through education, stewardship, partnerships, and conservation initiatives. SAW is seeking a Watershed Education and Outreach Manager to lead the development and delivery of provincial watershed education programs that promote environmental stewardship and water conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SAWs watershed education strategy.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate curriculum-aligned programs, classroom presentations, field experiences, and educational resources for Grades 11 and 12.
- Build relationships with educators, school divisions,
Indigenous communities, post-secondary institutions, and community organizations.
- Coordinate workshops, outreach activities, conferences, and community events.
- Manage program planning, budgets, reporting, evaluation, and funding support.
- Collaborate with SAWs communications team to promote education initiatives and increase participation.
- Support organizational priorities and watershed stewardship activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education degree required.
- Experience developing and delivering educational programs.
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan curriculum and education systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience managing projects and building partnerships.
- Knowledge of environmental stewardship, watershed science, conservation, agriculture, natural resources, or related fields is an asset.
- Grant reporting and program evaluation experience is an asset.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to travel throughout Saskatchewan, including occasional overnight travel.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Position Status
This position is based in Moose Jaw, not open to remote or hybrid.
