This is an exceptional opportunity for an autonomous, systems‑focused NP who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about patient flow, protected transitions, and continuity of care. As the NP‑MRP, you will hold full clinical accountability for patients across their episode of care—leading assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning, and follow‑up within your legislated scope of practice. About the Role As a Nurse Practitioner – MRP , you will function as the primary clinical provider , coordinating and managing care to ensure timely, high‑quality transitions while optimizing patient outcomes and system efficiency.
Working within an advanced nursing practice framework, you will collaborate closely with physicians and interprofessional partners, consulting or transferring care when needs extend beyond NP scope. Beyond direct clinical care, this role offers meaningful opportunities to influence practice through leadership, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with KHSC’s strategic priorities. You will also serve as a clinical leader and mentor , supporting staff, students, and teams while championing innovation, professional excellence, and patient‑and family‑centred care. Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice Deliver comprehensive, autonomous care including advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, procedures, and discharge planning. Hold full accountability as the Most Responsible Provider , ensuring safe, timely, and effective care across transitions.
