Position Summary:
Equinox Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Cost Controller / Scheduler to support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking project costs, forecasting, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Track project costs, prepare cost reports, and maintain budget controls.

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

Monitor project progress and milestones, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions.

Assist in project forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Collaborate with project teams,



including engineers, planners, and project managers, to ensure schedule and budget alignment.

Support contract administration activities, including change orders and cost tracking.

Provide data and reports for management decision-making.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

4 – 8 years of experience in cost control and scheduling in oil & gas or mining

Must have proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 and MS Project) and cost management tools.

Must have advanced level in Microsoft Excel (i.e. comfortable with building and maintaining sheets with complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs and data analysis tools).

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control processes, and budgeting.
