Job Details
Location: Oakville, ON
Position Type: Full Time, On Site (40 hours per week)
Hours: 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday core hours, with one evening per 6‑week period and one Saturday per 6 weeks for group/workshop availability
Salary: $40.31 – $47.75 per hour (40‑hour work week, OPSEU unionized position)
Contract: Maternity Leave contract 12‑18 months

Position Overview
We are seeking a critical‑thinking and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services in a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work with adults with communication challenges, implementing therapy plans and helping clients achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

Implement individualized therapy programs

Conduct one‑on‑one and/or small group therapy sessions

Take accurate and clean SOAP notes during the sessions

Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to client needs





Communicate effectively with caregivers regarding progress and home practice strategies

Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging therapy environment

Follow all clinical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and professional regulations

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology (or Communication Sciences and Disorders)

Current registration with College of Audiologists and Speech‑Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)

Experience working with individuals with communication disorders, adults with developmental disabilities (preferred)

Expertise in augmentative/assistive communication for nonverbal individuals with autism, feeding and swallowing assessments, IDDSI model familiarity

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively within a clinical team

Organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented

Passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills

Valid Ontario driver’s license required
