Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions

The Lifecycle Specialist will manage employee exits for Remote's external employees, providing legal compliance and client‑focused service. The role includes first‑level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating resources when needed. The specialist will also support process improvements aligned with Remote’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and resolve end‑to‑end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring a superior offboarding experience for clients and employees.

Provide guidance and manage client requests on HR matters such as termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes while maintaining legal compliance.

Lead and facilitate client and external employee meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, negotiation of separations and settlements, and outcome delivery.

Negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations, balancing competing stakeholder interests.

Coordinate compliance activities with internal and external stakeholders—including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions.

Draft and administer termination documents with accuracy and confidentiality.

Process offboarding on Remote’s internal HRIS platform in collaboration with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other verticals.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on offboarding matters for internal and external stakeholders.

Guide clients through Remote’s Employee Relations resources and policies.

Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying facts and applicable regulations.

Coordinate handling of employee relations matters with stakeholders.





Support clients on progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements.

Monitor ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow‑up.

Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and overall customer and employee experience.

Key Requirements and Characteristics

Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle.

Robust background managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.

Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, and provide practical solutions.

Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.

Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.

Aptitude for innovation, process optimization, and automation.

Strong record‑keeping awareness and data integrity focus.

Tech‑savvy with experience collaborating asynchronously on various tools.

Ability to work autonomously in an international, remote, asynchronous team with multiple priorities.

Proactive, self‑motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Compensation
Annual salary range: $37,250—$83,800 USD, dependent on location, skills and experience.
