Sonographer (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
Overview Location: Across British Columbia
Contract Duration: 4 weeks-13 weeks or more, 2026 (with potential extension)
Employment Type: Contract
Work Environment: On-site (Hospital / Clinical Imaging Department)
Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and standards
Produce high-quality diagnostic images to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
Accurately document procedures and results in Cerner and other clinical systems
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
Follow infection control, patient safety, and imaging department policies
Maintain compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications Certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS (required)
Eligible to work as a Sonographer in British Columbia




Recent hospital or acute care experience preferred
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Travel reimbursement and accommodation allowance available
Supportive hospital and imaging department environment
