Employment Terms: Contractor, 1-Year Contract Start Date: September 2026 The Prospect: Branksome Hall offers a program for interested students after school hours called the Music Conservatory Program.

For the 2026-27 year, the program requires contract teachers who specialize inguitar or vocal, although instructors with a mastery of other specialties are welcome to apply as well.

The Music Conservatory Program takes place on the Branksome campus after school between the hours of 3:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and instructors will work with students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 on an individual basis for 30 mins, 45 mins or one (1) hour of instruction.

Contractors will be responsible for invoicing the School for hours worked.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver individualized music instruction to students of all levels, focusing on instrumental technique, posture, note and rhythm comprehension,



musical expression and more; Provide timely and constructive feedback on student progress; Organize and manage an end of year student recital in May; Create and submit formal reports detailing each student''s development throughout the year; One-year academic commitment with the possibility of extending another year.

Candidate Profile: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution; Minimum three years experience teaching the respective instrument; Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent degree would be considered an asset; Experience working with groups of children; Possesses strong oral and written communication skills; Work independently with little direct supervision; Strong time management skills; Knowledge of relevant technology with the ability to utilize all required and recommended computer applications.

Hourly Rate:$80/hr
