On this page About the position Duties Conducts highway/road/street clearing and snow removal using medium and heavy vehicles and equipment (big plows) requiring a Class 3 license with air-brake endorsement; operates/controls multiple blades and salting mechanisms; and performs ancillary road maintenance and labour services for the Parks Canada Agency.

You need (essential for the job) Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following Possession of a valid and current Class 3 Nova Scotia drivers license, or other provincial equivalency, with air brake endorsement.
Provision of a drivers abstract, which is to show a minimum five (5) year driving record that is free of at-fault traffic accidents, convictions, suspensions and revocations.
Substantial and extensive experience in the operation of commercial and heavy equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, salt trucks, and snowplows.

You may need (asset qualifications) May be applied / assessed at a later date EXPERIENCE:Experience in the operation of road graders or the ability to be trained to an acceptable level of proficiency in grader operation by Parks Canada.ABILITIES:Ability to identify equipment malfunctions, carry out minor maintenance and repairs, determine the cause and to effectively report them.
Ability to operate a backhoe, in a safe manner, to dig trenches.
