Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 37.5 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks Recommend measures to improve productivity Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions Establish work schedules Prepare production and other reports Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Set up machines and equipment Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers Monitor safety conditions Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Oversee safety of operations Supervision 11-15 people Labourers in wood, pulp and paper processing Lumber graders and other wood processing inspectors and graders Other wood processing machine operators Sawmill machine operators Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Lumber Grader Certificate Industrial First Aid Certificate Transportation/travel information Own transportation Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities Repetitive tasks Physically demanding Manual dexterity Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing,
