As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced architectural professional to support the delivery of residential developments and help drive project success.
Your Recent Role As the Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee residential projects through all phases of design, approvals, permitting, construction, and occupancy.
Working closely with internal departments, municipalities, consultants, and construction teams, you will ensure projects are coordinated, codepliant, and delivered on schedule.
Key responsibilities include: Managing project schedules, consultant coordination, and permit approvals from design development through construction.
Leading multidisciplinary consultant teams, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, landscape, planning, and specialty consultants.
Reviewing and coordinating drawings, specifications, and construction documentation to ensure quality, constructibility, and Ontario Building Codepliance.
Managing municipal approval and permitting processes, including permit submissions, reviewments, phased permits, occupancy permits, and final approvals.
Coordinating plot plans, grading plans, siting reviews, foundation conditions, and site-specific design requirements.
Supporting product research, value engineering initiatives, material selection, and architectural standards development.
Coordinating sales, marketing, and design center requirements, including renderings, brochures, schedules,
model releases, and homeowner upgrade requests.
Preparing and reviewing tender, permit, issued-for-construction (IFC), record of change (ROC), and as-built drawing packages.
Providing construction phase support through site visits, RFI management, shop drawing reviews, deficiency resolution, and consultant coordination.
Maintaining architectural standards, templates, procedures, project documentation, and departmental best practices.
Mentoring junior team members and supporting the continued development of the architectural department.
What You''ll Need to Succeed Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience managing residential development projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
Strong knowledge of residential construction, building systems, consultant coordination, and construction documentation.
Thorough understanding of the Ontario Building Code, municipal approval processes, zoning requirements, and site planning considerations.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and managingpeting project priorities.
Strong organizational,munication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
Experience with New
Star is considered an asset.
Valid driver''s license and ability to travel to municipal offices and project sites as required.
