Our client is hiring an SFA - Costing as part of their growing team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance & Accounting, the SFA Costing will provide support to the Plant Operations and Finance team with detailed insightful analysis of Production costs across all production sites, logistics expenses and purchase price variances against the procurement plan. This individual will ensure the integrity of financial information as well as compliance with policies and internal controls. This role will also have responsibility for collecting, compiling, reporting and analyzing costing information with respect to the company’s manufacturing operations. The SFA Costing will also assist with the preparation of budgets and reports to key management to lead and support specific continuous improvement projects, improving the plant's cost effectiveness and agility. The SFA - Costing will partner cross functionally to understand and explain key drivers and update costing on a periodic basis. This position will have strong analytical skills, be detailed oriented, be a self-starter,



self-motivated and intensely curious about how things work. Setting goals and delivering against expectations are key to success for this role.

Requirements

- CPA designation or working towards completion
- Post Secondary education in Business, Accounting or a related field
- Must have strong Excel skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Business Central or a similar ERP system
- Proven strong analytical and cost accounting skills required
- Solid critical thinking skills to develop creative solutions to business issues and opportunities
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, & initiative to drive improvement efforts
- US CPG or similar experience is as asset
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques for plant operations is an asset
