Resort Department: Hummingbird Lodge & Campground Reportsto: Hummingbird Lodge & Campground Supervisor Employment Status/Type: Seasonal, (December-April) Compensation:$; alongside further perks _______________________________________ JOB SYNOPSIS: Under the guidance and supervision of the Hummingbird Lodge Supervisor, the Team Lead will oversee andmaintainall aspects of accommodation and services at the Hummingbird Lodge.
For accommodation, this will include the suite and campground.
Forservices,this will include rental equipment, trailnetwork, informationboards,and food service.
When Supervisor on Duty, they will supervise and lead all aspects of day-to-day operations.
The Team Lead primary role is to provide an exceptional experience.
They will work in conjunction with the Hummingbird Lodge Supervisor to effectively and efficiently run the Lodge and Campground aspect of this business and include the knowledge of the local area and be ableto providetrip information, backcountry information and weather summaries that pertain to the trails, destinations and local area.
Resulting inhigh-qualityresort operations and customer service, fiscal responsibility, robust health and safety culture, and compliance with all government regulations, with a continued focus on Whitewaters company culture and branding. IMMEDIATE REPORTS: None SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Using a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.
Ensure knowledge and understanding of (but not limited to) Department Manuals, CDPP, Employee Handbook to ensure continued success in Whitewaters safety culture.
Assistin Whitewaters KPIs ensuring organizational goals are met.
Providing quality guest services toguestsand campers suchas,explaining rules and regulations, offering information/recommendations on the surrounding area activities/attractions.
Assistscampers withbooking &inquiries;, responding to guest feedback and improving service delivery Communicating regularly with the Lodge Supervisor to ensure seamless operation and customer service.
Help with all aspects of running the cafe from food prep, rotation & cooking, ringing thru guestsfor their food & beverage and ticket/rental orders.
Overseechangeoverof the rental suite, ensuring that it is fully stocked for each guest''s arrivalandassistwhen needed.
Supporting guest with ticketing& season passsales and RFID issues Accountable for effective waste management (garbage/recycling/composting) and pest control Providing high quality,friendly,and efficient service.
Preparing and serving hot beverages, specialty coffees.
Be knowledgeable on rental equipment set up (Nordic,snowshoesetc.) andassistguest with fittings Keeping aclean,organized,and safe working environment.
Cash handling and balancing cash out.
Being readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints that may arise.
Providing friendly,efficient,and professionalservice to ensure a positive guest experience.
Report all maintenance issues to ensurethe safetyof the lodgein a timely manner.
Ensuring proper waste management including collecting and sorting recyclables.
Administrative duties.
Other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION: Barista & Cooking experience and asset Experience working in a lodge or in a guest/customer service position.
Experience handling cash/credit transactions and preparingend of dayreconciliations. WHMIS.
Serving it Right Certification.
Current Criminal Records Check as part of the hiring process Basic point of sales or inventory sales system experience.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Proven problem solving and prioritization skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbalrequired.
Able to work independently and resourcefully in a remote location.
Ability to respond quickly and responsibly to emergency situations.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
Organization skills and attention to detail.
Able to prioritize with proven time management problem-solving skills.
Able to work collaboratively and cohesively with co-workers and the manager.
Reliable and dedicated; available to work any/all shifts daily, includingweekends, evenings, and holidays.
Ability to effectively use business software including Microsoft office suite, Google apps, or familiarity with
MtnOSis an asset.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
