Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer Job Location: Toronto, ON Job Type: Full time Job Description: Execute complex engineering assignments related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics including performing detailed analyses using similarity assessments, simulation, and/or analytical methods.
Help drive the resolution of electromagnetic related issues to support EMC certification and sustaining activities to support production and in-service.
Define scope of work and EMC effort for engineering projects, plan activities/milestones, highlight technical risks, and complete tasks according to priorities.
Analyze new and/or modified system or structure designs to assess technical engineering impacts and propose EMC compliance approaches.
Review associated engineering documentation such as test procedures,
test reports and analysis reports.
Verify compliance with certification regulations and recommend for approval.
Support creation and updating of technical requirements for EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics.
Represent the EMC team at multidisciplinary meetings.
Engage with internal and external suppliers, partners, and clients.
Support and witness EMC tests in Canada, the United States, Europe or elsewhere as needed.
Prepare/review aircraft level EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatic Discharge test procedures, oversee testing, and generate test reports.
Prepare Certification Design Compliance Reports.
