We are seeking a Manager, Finance & Accounting to join our Finance team during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance , this role leads day-to-day accounting operations while helping strengthen reporting, improve business insight, leverage technology, and support decision-making across the organization.
The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls, oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, manage cash flow, and ensure compliance across our Canadian and U.S. operations. Working closely with the VP, Finance, you will also contribute to strategic planning, management reporting, and the ongoing evolution of the Finance function.
What You'll Do
Lead Accounting Operations
Oversee general accounting activities, including the general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
Maintain solid internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Coordinate annual budgeting and support forecasting and variance analysis.
Develop profitability reporting by client, service line, and region.
Build financial models and support business case development.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and business performance.
Lead and Develop the Team
Coach, mentor, and develop Finance team members.
Establish priorities and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive Process Improvement
Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools.
Identify opportunities to leverage automation and technology.
Partner with operational leaders to improve data quality and reporting consistency.
Skills
You are a collaborative and results-oriented finance leader who balances strong technical accounting skills with business acumen. You build strong relationships, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and enjoy creating practical solutions that drive organizational success.
Your Credentials
- 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Experience leading accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Proven people leadership and team development experience.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
- Professional services or appraisal industry experience is an asset.
